Bradford’s 7C Seafood store has moved to a bigger, brighter and better location, right on Holland Street in downtown Bradford.
On Friday morning, Mayor Rob Keffer and Coun. Gary Baynes, along with representatives from the Bradford Board of Trade and TRICAP Properties were in attendance for the store’s official grand-reopening celebration.
Owners and cousins, Giovanni Jokan Sundar and Raj Rajaratnam have operated their store here in Bradford since 2013, but have worked in the seafood business for 15 years.
And as Bradford continues to grow, so does their business, which is why they decided to move to a larger location.
“It’s great to be here and it’s great for a grand reopening and as we can see the reopening means better, bigger and way more selection and a lot of investment,” said Mayor Rob Keffer.
7C does not only carry a variety of fresh meat and seafood products, but they also stock frozen food items like vegetables, wedges, and finger foods.
The new location will now feature more grocery items and a larger than ever seafood and meat selection, and next month will be opening up their fresh fruit and vegetable section as a separate store located in the same plaza.
All together the store has 14 employees, who are all happy to be in their new space.
Mayor Keffer presented the store with a certificate of achievement and read them a letter of congratulations.
“It’s very gratifying to see that in the few years since we celebrated your grand opening in 2013, your success has driven you to expand your operations to this great new location,” said Mayor Keffer.
“As you work to reestablish your expanded business here, I hope your experiences are both rewarding and profitable.”
Rajaratnam thanked everyone for attending the ribbon-cutting grand reopening event.
“Thank you for all the support,” he said.
7C Seafood is now located at 157 Holland St. East.
